Portugal: Porto – Torre dos Clérigos
A little bit of city exploration before hitting the Porto wine cellars and wiping out the memory – Torre dos Clérigos – the symbol of the beautiful city of Porto. The bell tower and the Clérigos Church, built in 1750, is located in the upper town on one of the highest points and thus is visible from pretty much anywhere in town. The tower rises 76m/250ft above ground and requires 240 dizzying steps on an ultra-narrow spiral staircase to get to the top. The views from the top are incredible – the entire tile-roofed city of Porto lies in front of your eyes, including the wine cellars across the river.
