Puerto Rico: El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque National Forest is large tropical rainforest on the easter side of the Puerto Rico’s central mountain range. It is one of the most biologically diverse in the Caribbean receiving a lot of annual rainfall of over 200 inches per year. The vegetation is amazing and verdant and the mist and clouds cover the forest pretty much 100% of the time. Tropical plants are abundant, as are the famous coqui frogs.
