Republic of Congo: Brazzaville – Around the City

Brazzaville is actually quite an enjoyable and friendly city to explore. The downtown and waterfront are easily walkable and totally safe, with many restaurants to get a drink and watch the Congo river float by and Kinshasa on the other shore. Brazzaville is the economic and political capital of the Republic of Condo, a city of 2 mln people, but most of the attractions are closely concentrated along the Congo River waterfront corniche – the futurist Tour Nambemba tower, Hotel de Ville, Pierre de Brazza Memorial, and so on – perfect for an evening of casual exploration. Also, there is a an entire street of street art along Avenue Cabral, all themed around Brazzaville.
