Republic of Congo: Pointe Noire – Mission Saint Pierre
Seemingly sitting on the highest hill in the center of the city, Mission Saint Pierre is a large religious complex. A massive baobab tree stands in the middle of the grounds, the church building is rather simple but atmospheric with a lot of doors and windows, and there are some monuments to immaculate conception and associated relics. So if you wanna escape the hustle and bustle of Pointe Noire and find some tranquility in kneeling in front of the statue of Virgin Mary – this is the place to be!
