Roatan is part of Honduras although being a cruise ship mecca, it’s entry rules are much simpler then the mainland. Roatan is part of the Bay Island group, lying about 50km off Honduras’s Caribbean coast. Formerly, the British colony of Bay Islands, a lot of its permanent residents are actually English-speaking descendants from Cayman Islands. Some spectacular island views can be had from the air.
