Roatan: West Bay Beach

West Bay Beach consistently ranks as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean – a mile-long stretch of white sand and a reef just offshore. It’s rather isolated for the rest of the islands and public access is limited, most of it is hotels and resorts. Unfortunately, given the rainy weather and rainy seasons, the beach didn’t look its best – it was quite narrow, still rather crowded, and somewhat gloomy.
