Rwanda: Nyungwe NP – Canopy Walk

To promote tourism in the southern Rwanda (gorillas do it well in the north), the government built a state of the art canopy walk over a portion of pristine rainforest in Nyungwe National Park. The views are spectacular but there isn’t much wildlife, monkeys or birds – since there isn’t that many fruiting trees in this particular location. Still it’s an impressive structure and experience of walking on swinging bridge high above the rainforest floor.
