Saint Helena: Saint Helena Distillery
St Helena even has its own distillery producing small batches of locally infused gin, coffee liqueur, lemon liquor, brandy, and a few wines. While it sounds exotic and does add locally grown fruits and coffee into the mix (including a rare juniper in gin), the resulting spirit seemed rather roughly cut, and not particularly smooth. Perhaps the distillery is spreading too thin, trying to produce anything and everything, rather then say focus on gin only and making it truly awesome. The tasting is by advance notice and you get to try generous portion of all the liqueurs and spirits.
