Seychelles: Bird Island- 500 thousand sooty terns
Bird Island is not called “bird” for nothing – the most spectacular site is on display here – half a million sooty terns, graceful black and white sea birds nesting in a huge colony. It’s a beyond surreal experience of Hitchcock proportions – birds everywhere, up and down and all around you. They come to the island to nest for only a couple months a year and spend the rest at sea. This tiny island is one of the most incredible nature spectacles on this planet!
