Slovenia: Triglav National Park
After cultural overload of Venice with crowds of people and buildings, Triglav NP was an eye-candy of a different kind. Located in the heart of Julian Alps on the border with Austria, it’s a spectacular alpine paradise of snow-covered peaks, waterfalls, and green valleys. And beautiful alpine flowers – orchids, lilies, and so much more. Twisting narrow roads lead to high mountain passes with panoramic views and frigid alpine air. This is the only national park in Slovenia.
