Solomon Islands: Ngongosila – Singsing
An awesome singsing performance by dancers on the small Kwai Island and locals enjoyed the show as much as the visitors did. And when we thought the singsing performance was over, there came a second run with child performer dance act, dressed up in blue costumes. Totally on fire, especially a small long-haired blond kid. Quite a few of the locals had blonde hair, which is actually an interesting genetic fact. Blonde hair is rather rare globally and occurs only in two ethnic groups in the world – Europeans and people of the Solomon Islands – but both are completely different genetically. Analysis showed that the Solomon Islands blonde hair is absolutely endemic and evolved in isolation here, around 5-10% of people get it.
