South Africa/FS: Clarens
Clarens is a small, picturesque (and rather corky) town located on the western gateway to the Golden Gate Highlands National Park and known as the “Jewel of the Eastern Free State,” it is nestled at the foothills of the Maluti Mountains of the nearby Lesotho. Clarens has a Wild Wild West feel and it’s also full of artists and galleries and crafts stores. The town was founded in 1912 and has historic buildings, old cars, vintage stores and so on. Clarens is also famous for its small brewery. It actually holds the title of the South Africa’s first brew pub. It is famous for its locally brewed craft beers and ciders, offering a great experience for beer enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
