South Africa/NC: Mokala NP – Game Drives
Mokala National Park is a little known national park in the Western Cape Province, south from Kimberly, but it’s a total undiscovered gem. Mokala NP is known for its rich biodiversity, particularly its role in conserving rare and endangered species. Unlike larger parks with big predators like lions and hyenas, Mokala focuses on herbivores and smaller carnivores, making it a safe haven for species that might struggle in more predator-heavy environments. The park is home to four endangered antelope species – Roan, Tsetsebe, Sable, and Black Wildebeest. Then there are plenty of more common kudu, eland, zebra, some gemsbock, buffalo, giraffe, impala, springbok, and more. There are also black and whit rhinos here!
