South Africa: Southern Right Whales
Da Hool Nature Reserve is one of the few places on earth where you can see whales withing just literally feet offshore. The come into the deep waters below the cliffs to mate. It’s almost surreal to sit on the cliffs and watch whales play and jump, and turn and swing their flippers and tails (which is knows as lobtailing and is a form of communicating between mother whales and calves)
