South Georgia: The Shackleton Hike
One of the most unique experiences was the 6km Shackleton hike recreating the last leg of the famous Antarctic explorers’ experience. It’s truly incredible as Shackleton and two of his mates hiked through the glaciers of South Georgia to finally reach civilization at Stromness whaling station after over 2 years of being left for dead. The hike was spectacular over snow and glacier covered mountain ranges with 360 views.
