South Sudan: Juba – White Nile

Juba – the capital of South Sudan – is situated on both banks of the White Nile, one of the two main tributaries of the Nile (Blue Nile is the other). White Nile originates in Lake Victoria in Uganda. In Juba, there are several places where you can access bars on the banks of White Nile and take pictures – you are in gated and secured and guarded zones here. There is a stranded barge in the middle of the fast-flowing river and locals taking baths on the bank.
