South Georgia: Wandering Albatross

Prion Island’s colony of wandering albatrosses. – Wandering albatross is the bird species with the largest wingspan in the world, a staggering 12 feet or 3.7 meters tip to tip. These are huge and beautiful birds both on the ground and in the air. Very few colonies are accessible for viewing and this experience was incredible.
