Sri Lanka: St Anne’s Church on Kalpitiya Peninsula
Sri Lanka has about 10% of Christian population, mostly in the former Dutch colonial centers. St Anne’s Church in Puttalam on Kalpitiya peninsula is he oldest church on the island and sees massive crowds here during the Annual St Anne’s Feast. The church dates back to 17th century and stands right on the beach. It’s rather simple and modest inside (atypical of a Catholic Church in many ways).
