St Vincent & Grenadines: Kingstown Panorama from Water
Kingstown is the capital of St Vincent & Grenadines, the town of about 25,000 people, founded in 1722 by the French (although the country spent about two hundred years as a British colony before going independent in 1979. The waterfront town sits at the foothills of steep hills and picturesque mountains rising just behind it. The panorama of the town and the entire island is quite spectacular and awe-inspiring when approached and seen from the sea.
