Sudan: Nile’s 6th Cataract – Cruising the Nile
Between Khartoum and Aswan, Nile River has 6 cataracts – shallow areas where the otherwise slow flowing and wide course of the waterhole is interrupted by boulders and whitewater. The lowest of this is the 6th cataract, where you can actually speed through the whitewater on an ordinary boat. It ain’t white water rafting, but still fun nonetheless.
