Svalbard: Longyearbyen – Hiking on Sarkofagen Ridge & Little Auks

Longyearbyan lies in a narrow valley surrounded spectacular cliffs on two sides and the ocean harbor on the third. Hiking here is spectacular as you climb above the valley and have a panoramic view of the town below and cliffs full of birds everywhere. The species that populates the rocky outcrops here is the black-and-white auk, an beautiful seabird somewhat reminiscent of a puffin
