Sweden: Stockholm – Royal Palace & Parliament House
The Royal Palace is the official residence of the king of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf (although he spends most of his time at the Queens residence on the outskirts of the city). This is one of the largest palaces in Europe built and rebuilt in the 17/18th centuries. It’s located in the Gumla Stan (old town) and faces water on three sides, with guards in funny boots posted all around and Medici lions structures standing intimidatingly on the corners.
