Switzerland: Schynige Platte & Alpengarten
An antique rack-railroad (established in 1893) takes you from Interlaken Ost railway station to Schynige Platte. On top, you get circular trails that offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountain peak of the Bernese Alps – Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau – as well as the Lake Thun below. What is even more interesting is the Alpine Garden that has over 600 species native to the alpine flora of this region.
