Tanzania: Lazy Lagoon Island – Starfish Fun
Low tide uncovered many starfish – large and small, red and orange and yellow and burgundy. The most famous starfish here is the so-called Zanzibar Res Star Fish, very colorful, five-prong creature with spiky needle-like protuberances on each leg. They all got stuck behind the coastal rocks when the tide was receding, so we took upon ourselves to save them from drying up and dying. (By the way, starfish are actually predators).
