Thailand: Golden Triangle – House of Opium
Definitely one of a kind museum – the House of Opium – dedicated entirely to the opium cultivation, processing, measuring, weighing, and smoking. Tons of unique exhibits tell you about the poppy horticulture, and then a vast collection of unique opium weights shows how this was measured against gold (I actually even bought one opium set at the souvenir shop). The opium pipes collection is even grater. And then finally you walk through a prison cell where opium/heroin eventually takes you.
