Thailand: Songkhla – Samila Beach
One of the main attractions in Songkhla and southern Thailand is the Samila Beach – a very picturesque 3km long crescent of white sand with beautiful islands offshore and facing the Gulf of Thailand. There is also an iconic statue of Golden Mermaid here – swarmed with people who want to photograph it or be photographed with it – a bit of an insanity. Lots of Malay tourists here.
