Timor Leste: Descending Mount Ramelau
Descending Mt Ramelau after the sunrise presents the mountain and the landscape around in all its verdant glory. The light in the early morning is fantastic, birds are everywhere, and misty mountain air is fresh. Interestingly, there are horses that leave on the mountain, quite close to the top. They are not wild, they are used for coffee hardest (hauling it) once or twice a year. But otherwise – they live completely on their own in the mountain slopes and like goats – jump cliffs and climb steep ridges.
