Tuamotu/Rangiroa: Kia Ora Resort
Rangiroa atoll is an absolute tropical paradise with beautiful lagoon and plenty of natural attractions above and underwater (see previous posts about the incredible Blue Lagoon, Coral City, Tiputa Pass, and the Aquarium). And the Kia Ora Resort is perhaps the best place to stay while you enjoy the Rangiroa. Beachfront and overwater bungalows are classic postcard French Polynesian luxury, seemingly million miles away from stupid bling of ridiculously tacky Bora Bora. The infinity pool and the pier bar offer great tropical drinks and stunning sunset views of the Pacific paradise, and the restaurant serves fantastic fresh seafood – a nice mix of French and Polynesian!
