Tuamotu/Rangiroa: Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon area on the Rangiroa atoll is beyond picture perfect and paradise-like. Here the atoll is wide to create eight small motus (islets) surrounding bluest of the blue water in the middle. In a way, this is a lagoon within a lagoon. Ultra white sand and curving coconut trees surround all this and since this part of the atoll is uninhabited – you come here on a day tour after an hour long ride across the Rangiroa lagoon – you can be just one of the few people to roam around this dream-like landscape.
