Turkey: Edirne – More Mosques
Everybody knows and comes to the Selimiye Mosque (see previous post), but there are several other mosques, equally old and equally spectacular. There’s the beautiful Sultan Beyazit II Mosque, and the utterly stunning Uc Serefeli Mosque (with its four different minarets), and the equally gorgeous Eski Mosque with beautiful calligraphy inside. Not to be missed in an ancient Roman tower now known as the Macedonian Tower.
