Turkey: Karahyit Red Springs
Everybody flocks to the white travertines of Pamukalle, but there is also a smaller spring north of town known as Karahyit Red Springs. Here the water is ruck in minerals and the travertine pools and cascades are covered with various shades of red and yellow. It’s much smaller and kind of more of a side attraction for locals near a cafe than truly a site worthy of a trip, but nonetheless – it photographs well.
