Turkey: Perge
Perge or Perga is another ancient site, this one Greek and then known as Anatolia.l and the capital of the vast colony of Pamphylia Secunda. It is one of the largest ruins site in Turkey, stretching for kilometers and full of relatively well-preserved masterpieces of architecture of antiquity. There are several spectacular gates, the agora, nymphaeum, baths, many ruined buildings, and probably hundreds of standing columns. But the most spectacular is a massive theater, decorated with stunning sculpture and scenes of Greek mythology.
