UAE/Dubai: Jumeirah Mosque
Jumeirah Mosque is supposedly the most photographed mosque in the emirate of Dubai. Built in 1976, it a father-to-son gift of the ruling Al Maktum sheikh family. It’s not large, but rather very elegant inside and out. When constructed in the 1970s, this was a total desert area with not much of the futuristic Dubai skyscrapers around. The mosque is beautifully lit at night and it’s perhaps the best time to visit.
