UAE/Fujairah: Al-Bithnah Fort
Al-Bithnah Fort is located deep inland in the emirate of Fujairah in the stony Wadi Ham at the foothills of the Hajar Mountains. A megalithic tomb was found at the site and then a modern fort was erected on the site in the late 18th century. Fat turreted towers stand solid on the high ground, with staircases leading to their tops where you get a perfect defensive position and views.
