UAE/Fujairah: Sheikh Zayed Mosque
Sheikh Zayed Mosque in The emirate of Fujairah is the second largest in UAE after the mosque with an absolutely identical name in the emirate of Abu Dhabi (both named after the founding father of the UAE and the ruler who United the seven different Emirates by offering other sheikhs generous concessions to form a federal system). The mosque in Fujairah is massive and visible pretty much from anywhere in the city. Built between 2010-2015, it’s almost an exact copy of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Capacity of 28,000 worshippers, six minarets rising to 80 and 100 meters, and 65 domes.
