UAE/Dubai: Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab is often called the world’s only seven star hotel. Built in 1999 on an artificial island just offshore of Jumeirah Beach, it has become a symbol of Dubai and the luxury excess. The rooms here go for somewhere between 5 and 20 thousand USD. You can’t even get close to the hotel unless you are a guest or a have a restaurant reservation….. Well, I went for the lunch option, and then just confidently roamed around ;). This post is the outside of the hotel, the next post is inside.
