Ukraine: Kiev – Pecherskaya Lavra Monastery

Kiev Pecherskaya Lavra aka Monastery of the Caves is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed complex founded in 1051. The monastery is a series of churches and underground caves that are considered sacred (no photography allowed). There are about 100 monks living in the caves up to this day. The building include Dormition Cathedral, Great Lavra Belltower, Gate Church of the Trinity, Church of the Saint Anthony and Theodosius, Church of All Saints, Church of the Saviour at Berestove, and of course the caves.
