USA/Alaska: Fairbanks – Chena Indian Village
As part of the riverboat trip you make a visit to the restored Athabascan Indian village of Chena. This was a trapper community so you get to see all the traditional clothing and all the furs and hunting methods and devices, as well as some reindeer. Full hides and furs of bear, wolf, sable, fox, mink, moose, reindeer can be seen and touched. Also the salmon smokehouse just as it used to be hundreds of years ago is here.
