USA/AZ: Monument Valley

Monument Valley is world l-famous for having been the backdrop of hundreds of American movies about the southwest – it’s the classic American landscape of red sandstone buttes. The valley lies entirely on the Navajo Nation reservation land and is an equivalent of a national park – Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. With the Navajo nation being completely locked down for the COVID, your access time the Monument Valley is only from the state highway that dissects it. Still, you get to stop and admire some of the most iconic views of the American Southwest. The isolated standalone buttes and pillars rise to over 1000 feet above the desert ground.
