USA/AZ: Petrified Forest NP (Revisited)
You can’t miss the Petrified Forest National Park – its an absolute jewel of the American national park system. There’s so much petrified wood here – it’s unbelievable – in every direction, giant logs and small pieces cover the ground. Just don’t try lifting it – because it’s hard stone after all. The northern part of the park has some spectacular colorful badlands, that look especially bright at sunset.
