USA/CA: Mendocino
Mendocino is a tiny oceanside township in a pretty location, but it more known for its elitist aura of being an artists’ community and high cultures escape for San Franciscans. “Mendocino is an enchanted place filled with real, unspoiled California opportunities and inhabited by fun-loving misfits, mavericks and makers.”. The little town is packed with art galleries, overpriced pseudo-antique stores, “charming” bed-n-breakfasts, some old and some somewhat old wooden buildings, and plenty of little boutique bars and restaurants. Basically, it’s an essential tourist trap escape but for those in the cultured high society. Or maybe it was just cold and foggy and that’s why not particularly impressive.
