USA/FL: Fort Myers Beach Pier
Fort Myers Beach is a seven miles long stretch of pure white sand. In the middle of the beach, stands the spectacular long wooden fishing pier, jutting out into the sea. The Pier was built in 1921 sticks out 560 feet into the Gulf of Mexico and is one of Southwest Florida’s most coveted spots for sunset. Which is what we did – the most spectacular light and a chance to sit at waterfront bar right above the water line and enjoy some colorful tropical cocktails (or a Florida version of Bloody Mary with shrimp and clam juice). The ocean was a bit rough and the air a bit windy, but it’s still awesome!
