USA/IL: Chicago – Millennium Park
Millennium Park was developed in 2010s at the southern end of the Michigan Avenue and is now often named the number one attraction in the city thanks to its spectacular postmodern architecture. It’s actually built on top of railroad yards and parking garages. The centerpiece here is Cloud Gate also known as the Bean. The 110 ton structure is made from 168 stainless steel plates, polished to perfection and seamlessly welded together to mirror-like reflect the sky and the skyline of the skyscrapers of the Michigan Avenue. In normal times – the area is packed with people like sardines in the can, but now it’s soooooo empty – you can take some surreal stunning pictures!
