USA/KS: Mushroom Rock State Park
What an awesome little state park in the middle of Kansas – Mushroom Rock State Park. Here, in the middle of the Great Plains, you can find some very bizarre and peculiar rocks, that are geological marvels – remnants of ancient beach sands. The structures are known as concretions and are made From naturally cemented calcium carbonate. The compressed rocks look completely otherworldly and they even stand on pedestals, looking like some giant stone mushrooms. The largest rock measures 27 feet in diameter!
