USA/KS: Wichita
Next state – Kansas. Wichita stands on the confluence of the Arkansas River and Little Arkansas rivers and one of the biggest attraction is the statue of the Keeper of the Plains on the small island where the rivers connect. The sculpture, built in the 1970s, pays tribute to the Plains Indians that inhabited the lands here and if often considered one of the symbols of the entire state. The city itself is pretty – with a lot of museums, landmark buildings, churches, and attractive architecture.
