USA/ME: Acadia National Park – Loop Road
Acadia National Park was the first national on the US east coast and came around from wealthy donors buying up land to protect the beautiful landscape of the Acadia peninsula. The scenery is truly stunning – the granite outcrops, islands, rugged coastline, lakes, mountains, beaches, forests. The scenic loop road goes all around the peninsula and the park, mostly hugging the shoreline with plenty of spectacular overlooks and viewpoints, like Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, and other.
