USA/MO: Gateway Arch National Park
One of the most recognized American landmarks is the Gateway Arch in St Louis in Missouri. Since 2018, the entire park around the arch is a national park, one of the newest in the US national park system (62 total now). The Gateway Arch, known as the “Gateway to the West”, was built in 1965 and stands 630 feet (192 m) tall and 630 feet (192 m) wide. At sunset, the light reflects off its shiny surface. Just in front of the arch is an equally famous old courthouse, built during the American Civil War years and closely resembling the Capitol building in DC. The arch also has a museum at its bottom and an observation tower at the top.
