USA/MS: Biloxi – Biloxi Lighthouse
Mississippi has a relatively small stretch of the Gulf Coast with the town of Biloxi in the middle of it. One of the most photographed locations in Biloxi, and perhaps the entire Mississippi is the famous Biloxi Lighthouse, erected in 1848, and manually operated by orphan girls until 1951, thus making it the longest manually operated lighthouse in the USA. A pier comes into the Gulf right in front of the lighthouse.
