USA/MT: Lake Koocanusa
Lake Koocanusa is a stunning large lake in northern Montana and southern British Colombia in Canada, that was formed by damming the Kootenai River around Libby. Hence the name – Koocanusa – an abbreviation of Kootenai, Canada, USA. A drive along the picturesque shores has plenty of spectacular vistas and the dam itself is massive and impressive.
