USA/ND: Pronghorn Antelopes & More Wildlife
As you drive the endless grasslands of North Dakota, you get to spot and sometime see upclose the pronghorn antelope also know as American antelope. These animals are technically not antelopes like the ones in Africa, but they do have many similarities and ancient common relatives. Pronghorns inhabit the Great Plains of the America, preferring semi-desert environment and roaming on large territories. Their diet often includes plants and grasses that are not palatable to cattle. They are fantastic runners and jumpers and you could see them hop over massive fences. Not to be outdone, the white-tailed deer also put up a great show and we came across many of them in North Dakota.
